• Singapore’s total expenditure of health was at around 4.7% of its GDP as of 2012. It was ahead of major Asian countries in terms of total expenditure on health as a percentage of GDP.

• Government expenditure on health was at around 1.9% of Singapore’s GDP. Healthcare also accounted for 11.9% of the total government expenditure as of FY14.

• Over the last few years, the Singaporean healthcare industry has taken great strides. The annual government health expenditure grew at a CAGR of 17% during 2006-14. It grew by 24% y/y in FY14.
